I love shooting waterfalls and I’m very lucky to have this one so close to where I live. Serenity Falls lies in a rainforest world of tall trees, ferns, babbling waterfalls, cascades and bird calls. On this day the falls were looking particularly beautiful after a heavy rainfall and the light was perfectly bathing the area in a soft glow. I had just finished taking the shot when the rain decided to revisit one more time (heavily) which had me scrambling for cover, trying to keep my composure as I clumsily hopped over the slippery rocks with all my camera gear. Not the best look, but luckily because of the rain there was no one else around. |

With the image mounted behind the acrylic and seen through it, light refracts in such a way that makes the color pop providing a near 3-D effect.
